Negima: Makie Collab

Nahh, this doesn't go with my series of characters. XD I just thought I needed more marker practice (it's been the only thing I've felt like doing, lately!) and so went looking for pretty lineart to color~
This lineart is, of course, done by the wonderful . X3 Her style is just so cute, and Makie is one of my favorite characters from Negima. Sorry Keru, I know it was intended for you, but...I hope you don't mind that I colored it anyway? ::smacksmacksmack:: |D;;;

I think that I'm kind of starting to develope a technique for marker coloring, but there are definately parts of this that I do NOT like. XD; The ribbon looks amatureish (sp? XD), and some of the brown coloring is ugly. I am pleased with the hair, skin, and light blue parts, though. ^^

The background was fun to do, too. Can you guess who influenced me on it?

Oh, and...please give me tips on how to improve on markers! >/////< I'm just not good enough yet!
